On Thursday, April 26, Resnick Library and Learning Center hosted the 6th annual Academic Support Services Awards Ceremony. During this ceremony, the library recognized three outstanding student workers: Penny Bishop, Katherine Dixon, and Brittany Dougherty. All three were commended for their dependability, hard work, and use of good judgement while working at the library’s front desk.
Library staff also presented two Friend of the Library awards. Friends of the Library are selected for ongoing contributions to library resources and services. This year, Dr. Terry Hamblin was recognized as a Friend of the Library, for supporting information literacy instruction, adding items to the collection, and assisting with the library’s assessment efforts.
The other recipient was the SUNY Office of Library and Information Services (OLIS). OLIS provides many of our online databases, supports our online catalog and coordinates staff training, among other things. Maggie Horn, Maureen Zajkowski and Karen Gardner-Athey traveled from Albany to accept the award.
Congratulations to all the award recipients, and thanks for all you do to make our library successful!
