System Upgrade Completed

Thanks to Joyce and Anna, as well as the staff at the SUNY Office of Library and Information Services, we have just completed a majorĀ upgrade in our library management system.

Since we have moved to a new server, if you have any bookmarked links to the library catalog, or any links directly to a particular title within the catalog, be advised that you will need to update those links. (The old URL was

ILL via WorldCat Back On

For anyone in the habit of borrowing items from other libraries via WorldCat, you may have noticed that this service has been unavailable for a few weeks.

We had turned off the ILL request links in order to facilitate end-of-semester book returns and billing. We apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime.

But, the ability to make direct ILL borrowing requests online through WorldCat is again available. If you need to request a magazine, journal, or newspaper article that we do not own or have access to, simply e-mail the information to, or stop by and drop it off with a library staff member.

Summer Hours

Library summer hours begin today. From May 22 through August 20, the library will be open Monday – Friday only, 8 am – 4 pm.

UPDATE 5/25: The library will be closed on the following dates: Monday, May 29th (Memorial Day holiday), Tuesday June 6th*, and Monday-Tuesday July 3-4 (Independence Day).
*The library will be closed on June 6th for a staff planning retreat, however, the Learning Center will be open. Computers will be available for public use in the library lab, Bush 226.

Exceptions may be made for extenuating circumstances – please contact Pam Peters at X4643.

Remember that library electronic resources like our book catalog, WorldCat, and research databases are available 24/7, on campus or off.

Return all Library items by May 12th

Just a reminder that all library materials are due by Friday, May 12th…just a week away. If you're done with them, bring them back today! Returning items late means a fine of $0.25/day for books and $1.00/day for videos, CDs, and other 7-day loans. Late fines could cause a hold to be placed on your student account.
Remember, a hold on your account means no registering for classes or accessing grades.
Special considerations may be made on a case-by-case basis.

End-of-Semester Midnight Hours

Late night study hours available! As the end-of-semester crunch of papers and finals approaches, we'll be staying open two hours later than usual, so take advantage of this extra access to library computers and study areas.
The library will be open from 8am-Midnight from Monday, May 8th through Thursday, May 11th, from 3pm-Midnight on Sunday, May 14th, and from 8am-Midnight on Monday, May 15th through Wednesday, May 17th.
