This summer, after a few years of downsizing and consolidating our physical collections….we found ourselves with several hundred linear feet of metal shelving with no home. It was no good for scrap, and it seemed like *someone* could use it…so we advertised on several local library lists and Voila! Four different libraries gladly accepted the offer and are in the process of hauling away our unused shelving. One library of note is in the Calvary Church of McDonough, New York (near Norwich). Folks in McDonough are saving the Historic Calvary Church building and setting up a library for their community. To volunteer for this project, contact Elinor Troicke at 607-647-5243.
