Student Architecture Project Books on Display

This year, for the first time at SUNY Delhi, the Architecture Design and Building program required seniors to either develop independent design projects or participate in international student competitions.

International competitions included:

  • Expansion to the historic Salk Institute by Louis Kahn in La Jolla, California
  • Design of a Pier Museum in South Miami Beach for refugees that have come ashore from the waters of the Atlantic
  • USGBC/LEED ‘Green’ reclaiming of a Syracuse block of warehouses for environmentally responsible small businesses and Habitat for Humanity

New York State project and community sites included:

Mechanicsville, Yonkers and Delhi

The Senior Project Book reflects not only individual student effort and growth, but the influence of the faculty in the program.  Designed and produced by students, these books are now part of the Resnick Library Archive, and will be on display on the main floor of the Library for the summer.
