Starting around the 4th of July, the library’s databases were slow or unresponsive. We have contacted the IT department, and it will be fixed as soon as they are able.
As of this morning, Tuesday July 7th, a test run saw little to no improvement in the performance. However, in most cases, the page will load after some time (5-10 mins), or in the event of getting a blank page, refreshing the page and waiting for the new page to load again. Once you’re into the databases, they will run at normal speed, it’s getting past the authentication page (ez proxy) that is the unresponsive part.
For those that need to do work in the databases, this may be the best solution until the problem is resolved. We will post again when the problem is fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we thank you for your patience.
