Midnight closings start this weekend!

Just in time for midterms,  the library is staying up a little later, closing at midnight instead of 10 pm Sunday-Thursday. This means that starting Sunday, September 30, our hours will be:

Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am-12 midnight
Friday, 7:30 am-5 pm
Saturday, 12 noon-5 pm
Sunday, 2 pm-12 midnight

These hours will remain in effect until finals week in December. Keep an eye on this blog for special hours around breaks and for finals week. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to give us a call (607-746-4635) or drop us a line (library@delhi.edu).

Science Direct is BACK to normal!

We are very pleased to announce that off-campus access to Science Direct has been restored. You no longer need to use the special username and password to log in if you are off-campus. Please access Science Direct through the library’s Databases by Subject or Databases A-Z page as you did prior to this issue. We thank you for your patience and cooperation as we worked through the problem. If you have any questions or encounter further issues, please let us know (library@delhi.edu or 607-746-4635).

Accessing Science Direct

We are continuing to experience problems with the Science Direct article database. Most off-campus users are not able to open pdf versions of articles in Science Direct. As a reminder, here is a way to access pdfs from off-campus:

1) Contact the library and ask for the Science Direct username and password OR log in to Vancko Hall and get the username and password from the library’s page (appears just below the emergency database password).

2) Go to www.sciencedirect.com

3) Log in using the link near the top right of the screen.

This will enable the database to “know” that you are a SUNY Delhi user and that you are entitled to access the articles.

Again, this issue is only affecting Science Direct. You can access all other databases and articles through the library’s web page as you normally would. Please contact us with questions or if you need the login information described above (607-746-4644 or library@delhi.edu). Thank you for your patience.
